Kenny Gallant has been working in the field of mental health since 2012 in a variety of contexts. He takes a person-centered approach and works closely with each individual to determine their unique needs. Kenny focuses on establishing a relationship and understands that creating a meaningful connection in therapy is a very important first step in establishing trust. He collaborates with each client to create treatment goals that are meaningful to the individual so that progress can be measured. He uses multiple approaches in therapy including mindfulness skills to help ground an individual in the present moment, cognitive behavioral therapy to reframe negative thinking and improve mood, and acceptance and commitment therapy to help in managing circumstances that are not within one's control. Kenny uses a strength-based empathic approach to treat adolescents, adults, and couples with issues of depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, adjustment, and relationships.
